Dragger we appreciate what you've done for our country. Good to have you back state side and working for the Fuzz again. Keep in touch, and keep Tom on line to the May Nationals. I know it's been a little hard to find the time off for those guys, but we really hope to see as many of you guys as possible here in Wichita in May for the Nationals. Make sure Tom contacts the Durango guys to get as many of those interested persons to Wichita also. See ya soon...

First off, thanks Tater for getting me on here with you all. Tater asked me to tell a little about myself in his e-mail to me so I figured I would do it here so everyone would know.
My name is Vernon Knuckles "Dragger" and I have just returned to the Cortez, CO. area from Iraq. Prior to going to Iraq I worked as a Deputy Sheriff for 4 years then a patrol officer with the Cortez PD for 6 years and that is where I met Tom Q.. In 2003 my National Guard unit was activated and I deployed to Iraq and spent 16 months there serving with the 1st Armor Division in Baghdad. In mid 2004 I returned home to Cortez, took a little time off before returning to the PD there. I continued working patrol until March 2005 when I went to work for Blackwater and returned to Iraq to provide personal protection for U.S. Department of State personal. I worked for Blackwater until the end of Feb. when I decided that 4 1/2 years in Iraq might be pushing my luck and took a job with our local Drug Task Force here in Cortez. So I am back in law enforcement which I do love.
When I got back this time and met up with Tom he talked to me about him trying to get a Gunslingers chapter started in Cortez and he asked me what I thought about it. The one thing that I love about law enforcement and working with Blackwater is the friends you make and the bond that is forged between you from watching each others asses and doing something you love. When Tom mentioned the Gunslingers I thought of that bond. What a great way to get together with guys all over the country that share the same things in common, riding and busting shitbags, lol.

My name is Mike "Twister" Schrader. I retired from the Eagan Police Department after 28+ years in law enforcement. I had a great career. I spent most of it as a trainer including: firearms, less lethal, TASER, all the other bludgeoning tools, and empty hand techniques and martial arts. I put in 12 years on the tactical team as a marksman and assistant team leader. My last five were n traffic where I pushed a motor during the summer months. Now, I spend a lot of time focused on my martial arts. I look forward to meeting all you and and hope the TC group can get up and running soon.

A small group of us are meeting this Friday to get the "scoop" from Hoodman re:what it will take to get the TC chapter up and running. I would really like to take an active roll in the chapter but at this time I think that all the info should go through Hoodman just to make it easier. In the mean time I am hoping that schedules work out to get down to Wichita when needed and I am also hoping to get to Scottsdale AZ at the end of March for the Taser Foundation ride. I did the first Taser Foundation ride two years ago and it was awesome. It was the first time I had riden in AZ and I thoroughly enjoyed the area. I would recommend it to anyone and it is for a great cause.
All you brothers out there riding (or even driving) where it warm enough to do so, ride safe. I will stay indoors were it is warm.
